Two (or Five) Times Exceptionality
How multiple 'marginal' traits (Autism, ADHD, OCD, Giftedness, SLD) cross-mask each other to create a unique neuro-cocktail.
The Alchemy of Cross-Masking
What happens when an individual is Gifted (1), has ADHD (2), is Autistic (3), has Dyslexia (4), and struggles with OCD (5)? They become Five-Times Exceptional.
In these cases, the most dangerous factor is Cross-Masking. The ADHD brain's impulsivity might be "tamed" by the OCD's need for control, making the person look "perfectly normal" to a teacher. The Dyslexia might be hidden by the High IQ's ability to guess words from context.
To the world, this person is a "Success Story." To themselves, they are a Shattered System. They are spending 100% of their CPU power just to keep the five systems from crashing into each other. Without recognition, this lead inevitably to a massive Neuro-Burnout in adulthood.
