Neuroplasticity: Rewiring the Brain
How targeted practice and stimulation can change neural pathways and improve executive function over time.
The Brain is a Living Map
For a long time, doctors believed the brain was "fixed" after childhood. We now know this is false. The brain is constantly Rewiring based on our environment and our actions.
In the context of ADHD/AuDHD:
While you can't "cure" the core neurotype, you can use Neuroplasticity to build stronger "Bridges" for executive function. Every time you use a strategy (like a visual timer) and succeed, you are strengthening the neural pathway for "Task Completion."
The Role of Stimulation:
Movement, learning new hobbies, and even specific types of "Brain Training" (when applied to real life) encourage the brain to stay flexible and open to change. The brain you have today is not the brain you will have in 5 years—growth is always possible.
