Inner Child and Reparenting
Reconciling with the child who was called 'lazy' or 'problematic' for years.
Reparenting
Dr. Gabor Maté, in his book 'Scattered Minds', shows that ADHD is not just a genetic fate; emotional stress and attachment disruptions in the early years of life also shape the brain. A brain growing up with a constant 'bad child' label cannot learn to feel safe and sufficient.
Reparenting is the adult individual giving with their own hands today what they couldn't give to the 'misunderstood child' within themselves: unconditional acceptance, a safe space, boundaries that are not devoid of love, curiosity instead of anger.

Where to Start?
The reparenting process begins with showing compassion to yourself like a parent when you make a mistake. When you forget something, instead of saying 'You did the same thing again, stupid', saying 'Your brain forgot because it's tired right now, let's make a list' breaks the defensive reaction (shame) in the nervous system.
In this process, receiving therapy support is of vital importance to understand how the wounds received in childhood affect today's behavior patterns.
