Hacking the System: Alternative Learning
Why 'Traditional Methods' aren't for you: Using YouTube, Body Doubling, and Audiobooks to bypass reading fatigue.
Learning Without the 'Boredom Wall'
For a neurodivergent brain, "Passive Learning" (sitting in a chair and listening) is almost impossible. To learn, your brain must be Active.
The Hacking Toolkit:
1. The 'Feynman' Trick: Try to explain the topic to a 5-year-old or your cat. If you have to "Teach" it, your brain enters a high-focus state.
2. Speed Control: Many ADHD people find that "Normal speed" videos are too slow, causing their mind to wander. Try 1.25x or 1.5x speed. This forces your brain to "Run" to keep up, which increases focus!
3. Visual First: Don't start with the textbook. Start with a YouTube summary. Once your brain has the "Map" (the big picture), it's much easier to fill in the "Details" (the boring text).
You aren't a 'Bad Learner'; you just have an 'Active System' that hates a 'Passive Method'.
