Assistive Technology for ADHD
From- 'Smart Watches' to 'AI Scribes': Using hardware and software to extend your cognitive reach.
Hardware for the Mind
If you have a broken leg, you use a crutch. If you have an "Executive Function" gap, you use Technology.
The High-Tech ND Arsenal:
1. Haptic Alarms (The 'Wrist Poke'): Set your smartwatch to vibrate every 30 minutes. This is a silent "Wake up call." It doesn't annoy others, but it "Pokes" your brain out of its daydream.
2. Voice-to-Text (The 'Thought Catcher'): Don't wait to find a pen. Use your phone's microphone to "Record" your idea the moment it arrives. You can use apps like *Otter.ai* or *AudioPen* to turn your "Messy talking" into "Perfect notes."
3. The 'Goblin' Method: Use *Goblin.tools* (AI). If a task like "Clean kitchen" feels impossible, the AI will break it down into: *"1. Pick up cups, 2. Wipe counter, 3. Take out trash."*
Technology doesn't make you "Lazy"—it makes you Functional.
