Seeing the Brain: qEEG

Standard ADHD diagnosis is based on clinical interviews. qEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram) adds a layer of biological data. It measures your brain waves and compares them to a database. Many ADHD brains show a "High Theta / Low Beta" pattern—essentially, the brain is "Daydreaming" when it should be "Doing."

rTMS (Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation): This is a non-invasive treatment where magnetic coils are placed on the scalp. These pulses stimulate the under-active parts of the brain (like the Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex). While not a first-line treatment like medication, it is increasingly used for people who cannot tolerate medication or have treatment-resistant depression alongside ADHD.
